These are answers to the questions we are asked most frequently by prospective customers. We hope you find them helpful. If you have a query which is not addressed on this page or if you would like to get in touch with us to arrange a visit, please contact us here.
Do you offer DIY livery?
No. We have found that by offering part-serviced livery, with a minimum weekly service commitment, we are able to provide a consistent, high quality service, from part livery to full care, during the working week.
What is your minimum weekly service commitment?
Each customer has a different set of requirements and we would normally discuss these individually during a visit to the yard. As a guide, the minimum commitment equates roughly to 5 days bring in (or turnout).
Can you supply services at the weekend and over Bank Holidays?
Yes, with 24 hours' notice.
Do you offer individual grazing?
No. We graze in small herds of between 2 and 6 horses depending on the fields in use and the horses in residence.
Do you provide daily turnout year round?
Our aim is to offer turnout daily, as long as the weather allows. During the winter, if wet weather persists, horses are kept in to limit mud and protect the grazing!
Is your manège indoor or outdoor?
We have a 20m x 40m, floodlit outdoor school, with mirrors. Shared use of the school is included in the livery fee. If exclusive use is required, it can be booked by the hour for a small charge. The manège has a waxed Martin Collins surface.
Do you offer trailer and lorry parking?
We have a limited amount of space but can normally accommodate customers’ needs, within reason. There is a small charge for parking.
What additional services do you offer?
We provide and charge for bedding on an individual basis - normally chopped rape straw. We provide hay and haylage communally, charged on a weekly basis. Farriers, dentists, physios, osteopaths, rug cleaning and mending, laundry for small items etc., can all be arranged as required.
When can I access the yard?
The yard is normally accessible between 7am and 7pm. Access outside these hours requires prior notification, for security reasons.
Is there a yard worming programme?
Yes. All horses and ponies are tested and wormed in accordance with the yard plan. New horses are wormed on arrival and kept in for 24 hours before turnout.
What are your terms and conditions?
The monthly charge for stable, grazing and the minimum service requirement is payable in advance by Standing Order on the 1st of each month. Additional services, feed and bedding are invoiced retrospectively at the end of each month.
What is the notice period?
4 weeks, from either side.
Do you require a deposit?
We require a deposit of £200 in advance.
